The site needed to communicate credibility and course depth without losing the warmth the industry is actually about.

I built the homepage around a full-bleed hero image and a gold-on-dark accent system that feels premium without tipping into generic salon-website cliché, backed by a scrolling course ticker and a certificate verification tool — a detail that matters for an industry where certificate legitimacy is a real concern for prospective students and employers alike.

Photography carried most of the emotional weight here, so the layout was built to get out of its way — large hero imagery, restrained typography, and a gold accent used sparingly rather than throughout. The certificate verification feature came directly from the founder's experience of employers calling to confirm a graduate's credentials, so making that self-service was a genuine usability win, not just a nice-to-have.
